If you are looking to learn about Peruvian Andean communities, this tour is an incredible opportunity! Visit the potato park in Pisac, Peru, where about 5 communities are preserving potatoes by their native customs. See the archeological sites of Pisac and discover incredible places that you don’t get to see on traditional tours.
In this tour, you will as well learn about jewelry processing, where a Piseño, a local artisan, will show you how to craft a silver jewel. you could participate in some steps. Inhabitants from Pisac Peru are well known as true craftsmen. if you are looking for a real immersion in making your own jewelry ring silver, contact us to give you more details. remember, this experience will take about 2 hours.

Itinerary
08:00 Departure from Cusco. On the route to Pisac, we can make a stop to visit a house where local people can show the weaving process. It is possible to buy some handicrafts here too.
09:00 We will travel from Pisac town for about 40min up to the mountains where the local communities and Potato Park are located.
09:40 Arrival to the communities and beginning of the activities. We will meet some members of the community and the local guide will show and tell us about the products they farm, like varieties of native potatoes, quinoa, and others. The location of the communities is over 3900 meters above sea level. We will see how native people are living and work the land at this altitude.
12:00 End of the activities
12:30 At the archeological site, we visit the incredible ruins of Pisac, Peru. We can have more time than the traditional tours and visit more places like the main building (traditional tours only visit the cemetery). Pisac is a very big Inca archeological site offering an astonishing view of the mountains and the Sacred Valley as well.
14:00 Travel to Pisac town. Here we can learn and be part of the artisanal silver jewelry processing. It takes about 1 hour. In the end, you will receive the jewel you helped to craft.
15:00 Free time to walk around in the town. You can try some local empanadas which are very popular here or walk around the local market.
15:30 Return to Cusco
16:30 Arrival at the hotel
