    Itinerary

    Potato Park and Pisac artisan Tour 1D general Itinerary

    07:20   Departure from Cusco. On the route to Pisac, we can make a stop to visit a house where local people can show the weaving process. It is possible to buy some handicrafts here too (subject to travel time)

     

    08:00   We will travel from Pisac town for about 50 minutes up to the mountains where the local communities and Potato Park are located. a member of the community will join our group to guide us until the community

     

    08:50   Arrival to the communities and beginning of the activities. We will meet some members of the community and the local guide will show and tell us about the products they farm, like varieties of native potatoes, quinoa, and others. The location of the communities is over 3900 meters above sea level. We will see how native people are living and working the land at this altitude.

     

    11:30   End of the activities

     

    12:00   At the archeological site, we visit the incredible ruins of Pisac, Peru. We can have more time than the traditional tours and visit more places like the main building (traditional tours only visit the cemetery). Pisac is a very big Inca archeological site offering an astonishing view of the mountains and the Sacred Valley as well.

     

    13:30   Travel to Pisac town. Here we can learn and be part of the artisanal silver jewelry processing. It takes about 1 to 2 hours (it will depend on which activity you requested). In the end, you will receive the jewel you helped to craft.

     

    14:00   Free time to walk around in the town. You can try some local empanadas which are very popular here or walk around the local market.

    14:30 Visit to the jewelry workshop., Here we can learn and be part of the artisanal silver jewelry processing. It takes about 1 to 2 hours (it will depend on which activity you requested). In the end, you will receive the jewel you helped to craft.

    15:30 or 16:30 Return to Cusco. You will arrive in Cusco after 1 hour
