Coffee and Cacao Experiences in the Cusco Rainforest

Meet local farming families in the high rainforest of Cusco and take part in the process behind every cup of coffee and cocoa. On the coffee tour you will understand the work it takes to produce high-quality and even specialty coffee; on the cacao tour you will get to know the local cacao varieties, including Chuncho, a native cacao that is highly valued today. We work with farmers who are certified organic and Fair Trade through the COCLA cooperative, and we have been pioneers of rural tourism in the region since 2009.

Easy to combine with the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu: tour the Sacred Valley of the Incas, continue to the farm to share dinner and spend the night with the family, and join the coffee or cacao activities the next morning. In the afternoon we return to Ollantaytambo, the Inca town in the Sacred Valley where trains to Machu Picchu depart. From there you can take an evening train to Aguas Calientes and visit Machu Picchu the next day; we will advise you on the best train time for the season. Short on time?
