    SACRED VALLEY 1D TOUR DESCRIPTION

    Day 01: Cusco – Pisac – Urubamba – Ollantaytambo – Chinchero – Cusco

AM –  At approximately 8:10 am, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin the journey heading towards Pisac, where you will visit archaeological ruins located in the mountains above the market. If you wish to try a local specialty, try one of Pisac’s empanadas made in traditional clay ovens.

PM –  Lunch will be in Urubamba, and although this is not included in the tour, we can offer you a lunch buffet. See below for options.

At approximately 2:30 pm we will begin our visit to the Incan ruins of Ollantaytambo. Keep in mind that this part of the tour involves climbing towards the mountain where the ruins lie, therefore take your time! After this visit to Ollantaytambo, we will take a 50-minute bus ride to the weaving town of Chinchero. Here, we will have time to visit with a local family that will demonstrate the intricate weaving process. After this visit, you will have time to buy some unforgettable weavings and visit Chinchero’s Incan ruins and or their colonial church.

You will return to Cusco at about 6:30 pm.

Note: Pisac is a very famous artisan’s town, many families work silver and gold, so if you are interested in visiting a local jewelry Workshop (available in private service), we can visit PisacKolke, jewelry workshop, which is very traditional and famous.
