These terraces were used to grow hundreds of different crops according to different ecological needs, however all in one location. After spending some time in Moray we will drive to the salt flats of Maras where you will find salt mines still used by locals today! In the town of Chinchero, you will learn about traditional alpaca-wool weaving methods used by indigenous women, that have been passed down through generations. It consists of more than a thousand constructions including plazas, fields, housing, temples, and wide streets with buildings that at one time were four stories tall.
