Pacaya Samiria Tour gives you an outstanding adventure of being in Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, with full exposure to nature with biodiversity and wildlife of Amazon, and with full opportunities of meeting with local people to learn customs and practices of the Kukama Kukamiria community.

Through the 4-day tour in the heart of Amazon with our expert guides, you will have a series of adventures such as witnessing the fauna inside of the reserve (day and night walking tour in the forest, tour of flood forests, walking through the primate route, navigation through the Jungle of Mirrors), meeting with the pink and gray dolphins that live in the streams inside the floodplain forests, and interacting with local people to understand their way of life and ancestral customs (artisanal fishing, a visit to the San Jorge Community, a visit to Kukama Women Crafts).

Pacaya Samiria Tour Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVAL, ECOLODGE IN NATUTA, NIGHT TOUR IN THE FOREST

• Pick up at the airport or hotel in the city of Iquitos at first

• And then, transfer to Nauta on our private boats through the Marañon River
• In certain seasons, we will visit the Fundo Casual, a tropical forest run by local residents where we could encounter different species of wildlife
• Arrival at the ecolodge – we will be welcomed by the member of the Kukama Kukamiria ethnic group.
  Being Located in the heart of Amazon and perfectly blended with the forest, you will be able to enjoy the incredible view of the surrounding landscape.
• Visit to our accommodations – cabins or bungalows
• After that, we will have a conversation about myths and legends of the Amazon
• Lastly, a night tour to discover the fauna inside of the forest surrounding the ecolodge

Day 2: PACAYA SAMIRIA NATIONAL RESERVE, JUNGLE OF MIRRORS, TOUR OF FLOOD FORESTS

• Jungle Walk through the forest surrounding the ecolodge (restinga forest) and the route of the primates

• And then, transfer to Pacaya Samiria National Reserve in Nauta Caño area
• Finally, we will have a journey through the Jungle of Mirrors and the floodplain forests. During the journey, we will discover the varied flora and fauna of the area

Day 3: FULL DAY OF RESERVA NACIONAL PACAYA SAMIRIA, OBSERVATION OF DOLPHINS

• Trip for full-day in the Reserva Nacional Pacaya Samiria zona de Yanayacu-Pucate
• Observatory tour of pink and gray dolphins (it is guaranteed)
• Journey through the Jungle of Mirrors. During the journey, we will sightsee the flora and fauna in their natural habitat

Day 4: BOAT TOUR TO COCHA SHIRIYACU, ARTISANAL FISHING, SAN JORGE COMMUNITY / RETURN TRIP

• Transfer on a boat on the Marañón River towards Cocha Shiriyacu
• The experiencial course of the artisanal fishing
• And then, appointment with a member of San Jorge Community and gain knowledge about their way of life and ancestral customs
• After that, transfer to the Center of Kukama Women Crafts (Pua Kamatawara) which is a project run by Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge
• Finally, rerturn trip to the airport or hotel city of Iquitos
