Tipón – Pikillacta – Andahuaylillas Tour Description

This tour is known for its breathtaking natural landscapes, the visit to the unique Inca architecture of Tipón, the pre-Inca Wari architecture of Pikillacta and the Andahuaylillas chapel, also known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas.” And let’s not forget the flavorful local cuisine in Saylla and Huasao.

You will visit the following attractions:

Tipón

Tipón is mostly known for its spectacular hydraulic system. It was once an important ceremonial and agricultural center in honor of sacred water.

Pikillacta

Pikillacta was once a large urban center corresponding to the pre-Inca Wari empire. It consists of more than a thousand constructions including plazas, fields, housing, temples, and wide streets with buildings that at one time were four stories tall.

Andahuaylillas

This chapel has been named the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas,” due to its intricate colonial murals, and its 24-carat gold plated alter, and polychrome ceiling.

Note: consider that the entrance ticket or boleto Turistico is possible to buy in Cusco or in the first place you visit, in this case, Tipon, if you plan to visit more touristic places in Cusco better you get the full ticket which will cost you around $40 if the partial one you will pay around $20, but it is valid only for 1 day and do only one circuit.
