08:00 Depart for the Huayopata zone, passing through the picturesque Sacred Valley of the Incas. We’ll make a stop in Ollantaytambo town and take in the breathtaking scenery, including Abra Malaga, the highest point of the journey at an altitude of 4,316 meters (14160 feet). Along the way, we’ll also explore the captivating cloud forest.
12:00 Arrive at the family farm, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by a friendly family member.
13:00 Enjoy a delicious lunch with the family! Please let us know ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences (such as vegetarian or vegan), so that we can coordinate with the family.
14:30 Take a guided tour of the farm with a family member, who will explain their daily chores and give you insight into the farm production process. This afternoon, we’ll visit an organic farm and discover more than just cacao. We’ll explore the diverse range of products the family grows to support their own family, and how they balance farming and tourism.

The cacao experience will allow you to see the trees and try the fresh pulp while learning about the native cacao and new varieties that have been introduced in the area. You’ll also have the chance to taste fruits that are in season, including oranges, star-fruits, mandarins, limes, lemons, avocados, passion fruits, pacae, sour soup, and more. You’ll even get to discover the coca plant!

After the farm tour, participate in the traditional chocolate roasting process and learn how to prepare your own cup of hot chocolate from start to finish. You’ll also try the 100% pure chocolate paste combined with local fruits, experiencing amazing flavors and aromas. This part of the experience is highly appreciated by our guests.

18:00 Join the family for dinner and immerse yourself in their way of life. This is an excellent opportunity to share stories and experiences with the locals.
